Wearing monochrome in the summer: H&M Jumpsuit 3 Ways

Wednesday, July 08, 2015

No matter what the season or the temperature I just can't seem to stay away from monochrome. It's become a serious addiction. Every time I'm in a shop and I look down at my basket it inevitably will just be varying shades of black, white and grey but hey, why should you stray from what you know?!

I had been trying to find a way to make my black and white staples that little bit more summery and came across this beautiful swishy jumpsuit in the H&M sale. It is lightweight and probably the comfiest thing ever and I think it could be so versatile for summery outfits.  (And it was only £7!!!)

For the beach or during that rare hot day we have in Scotland I'd wear it pretty simply as I think the patter kind of speaks for itself. I'd wear it with some comfy sandals, a pair of sunglasses and a coral lipstick like the Revlon Matte Balm I'm wearing just to add a small pop of colour. The 'Audacious' shade also looks brill when you've got that little bit of summer glow to your skin! I think this day outfit would also look pretty great with a coloured cross over bag and a statement necklace but y'know I wish I had those just lying around.

For when the evenings get that little bit chillier (or in fact if you fancied wearing this slouch perfect jumpsuit on the plane) I threw over this cute little cream cropped jumper I bought a while back from Vero Moda (similar here). The jumper is just exactly the right length to wear with the jumpsuit and not make it look too much like you're wearing your jammies and a cosy jumper!

If you wanted to dress it up however for dinner out abroad, this outfit is so easy to make look that little bit fancier. I paired it with my new faux leather Pull & Bear envelope clutch (similar here) and these classic Primark barely there heeled sandals (similar here). With a leather jacket thrown over the top no one would know how casj your outfit was just hours earlier!

This is just up my street. A total bargain, really blooming comfy, monochrome and very versatile. You can't ask for much more from an outfit can ya?!

My favourite summer outfits are maxi dresses, so so versatile and they always come in the most beautiful prints!
