I'm a firm believer that a good ol' cuppa tea solves a whole lot of problems.
I mean what do you do if you're boyfriend breaks up with you? Have a cup of tea and a bitch with your gal pals.
What do you do if you've had a really hard day at work and are snapping at everyone like a crocodile? Have a cup of tea.
If someone comes round to your house and is having a rough time? You better well offer them a cup of tea.
So when the Humblebee Gift Co. asked* if I'd like to review a couple of their different teas, I didn't hesitate. I mean who could turn down even MORE cups of tea huh? I'm definitely old before my time.
The nice people over at Humblebee sent me a cute little package with two different types of tea in it; 'White Berry' and 'Kenyan Superior'. There was definitely enough for a good few cups of tea from each little pot.
So tired and sleepy from essay writing I set about trying to decide which tea I'd like to try first! I decided to be a little adventurous and go for the fruity 'White Berry' tea as its quite out my comfort zone as I normally go for fairly traditional tea flavours like English Breakfast, Green Tea and Earl Grey. The 'White Berry' gave off a very strong fruity smell before the water even hit it and made the water turn a beautiful pink colour to match my Whittard cup and saucer set which I got for my 18th birthday. Dang they know how to cheer a girl up.
The tea was so full of flavour and if fruity teas are your thing it definitely is up your street! This tea was really spring-like and I loved that you could see the actual berries in the tea leaves so you knew you were getting something good to fill your body with.
The second tea I was asked to sample was the 'Kenyan Superior' which not going to lie, sounded to me a little more like coffee than tea! This one seemed a bit more up my street of favourite teas but I have to admit did not look nearly as exciting in leave or tea form! It was a very dark tea but again full of flavour and you didn't need much of the tea leaves to fill your cup. I like to drink my tea black and thankfully this is when this tea is at its best!
If you're looking to spice up your tea career with something a little more exciting than your usual builder's brew then these little flavoured teas are perfect! I have to say I think I preferred the Kenyan Superior for flavour as I'm totally guilty for sticking with what I know but if I was having friends round I'd love to serve up some of the 'White Berry' tea as its just so pretty!
Humblebee Gift Co. are just growing their company at the mo, and their range of choice teas is getting bigger by the day. The tea is slightly on the pricier side than your usual tea but you can taste the quality and it would make a great gift for the total tea lover!
Now excuse me while I sit back with my cuppa and read some brilliant blog posts... ahhh, bliss.
Are you a big tea fan? Let me know some new flavours to try!
