Autumn Beach OOTD

Saturday, November 01, 2014

Happy belated Halloween! Yesterday Jonty and I went to celebrate our belated two year anniversay. He surprised me by taking me to the beach to fly a kite that he had bought then he'd booked afternoon tea at this lovely little cosy pub nearby. I absolutely love surprises so he did pretty good! While we were on the beach he took a few little outfit shots for me. If you want to see more of his photography work go here. I wanted to show you some of my autumn picks on, so here's my first Outfit of the Day!

I wanted to go for a pretty cosy outfit since the North of Scotland in late October is a very chilly and windy place! So I wore a black leotard underneath to keep me toasty (yeah I know how lame am I!). On top I wore my green checked flannel shirt from H&M which is made from a lovely soft and warm material.

I tucked my shirt into a grey wool high waisted skirt from Primark (£10) which I featured in my haul post here! I then wore my flatmate Hannah's wooly Topshop jacket on top which I love because of its big collar and blue wool running through the grey. I wrapped up warm with a cream wooly hat from H&M (similar here) and my aubergine scarf which I bought in the Topshop sale!

To carry all my many bits and bobs I used my favourite little leather/snakeskin look rucksack from Primark. The only thing I don't like about this bag is that its not exactly safe from pickpockets as the zip is actually real!

On my feet I wore my trusted favourite boots from Clarks (similar here). They are slightly worse for wear now but they have lasted me a good few winters! Definitely worth the investment and I wear them almost every day through winter as they are so comfy! I'll be very very sad to see them go.

And finally a token couples photo. I feel you're allowed to be a bit cringe on your (belated) anniversary. He's a pretty good egg.

If you want to buy any of the items I had on today I have linked the item or closest match beside each description (apart from the Primark stuff but they should have it still in stock).

What are your favourite things to wear in Autumn?
Do you have any Autumn date ideas?

Autumn Autumn Autumn , if you say it too many times the word starts to look funny...
